SZA Schilling Zutt & Anschütz advises company founder Rolf Alter on the sale of the Euro-Composites Group to Schütz Group

SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz provided Alter with comprehensive legal advice on the sale of Euro-Composites S.A., which is headquartered in Echternach, Luxembourg. Schütz GmbH & Co. KGaA will take over the entire group of companies (EC Group) comprising companies in Luxembourg (Echternach), the United States (Culpeper) and Germany (Bitburg), and around 1,000 employees.

With the sale, Alter, who founded and successfully built up the EC Group over the past four decades and was recognized by the city of Echternach and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for his entrepreneurial achievements, is retiring from active business. The employees and existing management team will remain with the company as part of the transaction and continue to run the EC Group’s business in cooperation with the Schütz Group. Euro-Composites will be retained as an established brand and developed independently. The transaction is still subject to antitrust approvals.
