SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz advises on successful investor solution for BCG Baden-Baden Cosmetics Group GmbH

SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz, with a team led by Marc-Philippe Hornung, has advised BCG Baden-Baden Cosmetics Group GmbH throughout the self-administration proceedings until a successful investor solution was reached.

Effective 1 August 2026, Mussler Cosmetic Production GmbH, a company of the REVIDERM Group, takes over the business operations of the long-established cosmetics manufacturer BCG Baden-Baden Cosmetics Group GmbH. The transaction includes the Baden-Baden location, the key assets, all brands, and subsidiaries. The vast majority of jobs will be preserved.

Marc-Philippe Hornung, as the self-administering managing director, is steering the company’s restructuring together with the chief operating officer, Hermann Crux. SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz supported the self-administration throughout the entire process and advised on the preparation and execution of the investor process, as well as on the structuring and implementation of the transaction through its successful completion.

"The transaction demonstrates that self-administration offers high-performing companies an effective framework for successfully restructuring themselves. Within a short period of time, a structured investor process was carried out and a viable solution was found that ensures the company’s continued existence and the preservation of nearly all jobs,” says Marc-Philippe Hornung, partner at SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz and managing director of BCG Baden-Baden Cosmetics Group GmbH.

The self-administration proceedings were initiated in March 2026 with the goal of a sustainable financial restructuring of the company and the sale to a strategic investor. Business operations continued without restrictions throughout the entire process.
