SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz partner Marc-Philippe Hornung appointed as managing director in self-administration of ENGMATEC GmbH
ENGMATEC GmbH, based in Radolfzell, has applied to the Constance Local Court for provisional self-administration proceedings. The court has ordered provisional self-administration with the aim to achieve a sustainable economic and structural restructuring of the company. Business operations will continue in full.
To implement the restructuring, attorney Marc-Philippe Hornung, partner at SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz, has been appointed as an additional managing director of the company. With many years of experience in self-administration proceedings, he has assisted numerous companies in challenging restructuring situations. Managing director Peter Sauter will continue to be responsible for the day-to-day operational business. Attorney Jochen Sedlitz of the law firm GRUB BRUGGER has been appointed as provisional administrator.
The economic difficulties are primarily the result of the persistently tense economic situation since 2025. Customers reduced project volumes and postponed or canceled projects; at the same time, international price competition intensified significantly.
The wages and salaries of the approximately 150 employees are secured for three months through the so-called insolvency money.
ENGMATEC GmbH develops and builds testing equipment and assembly systems for electronic assemblies and products. Founded in 1994, the company has many years of experience in automation and manufacturing technology.
The insolvency and restructuring team at SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz has many years of experience in the insolvency administration of large and medium-sized companies, particularly in the continuation of companies during insolvency and in restructuring through transfer or an insolvency plan.
