Maria advises national and international companies on all aspects of German and European competition and merger control law, as well as on foreign direct investment law (FDI) and the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR).
Maria advises national and international clients across industries on all areas of German and European competition law, including merger control, cartel investigations and proceedings, abuse of dominance, compliance and general competition law.
Maria has particular experience in regulatory filings, including merger control filings before the German Federal Cartel Office and the European Commission, assessing and coordinating multi-jurisdictional filings as well as foreign direct investments (FDI) proceedings before the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy. She also advises on the Foreign Subsidy Regulation (FSR).
Maria’s practice also includes advice on vertical supply and distribution issues, joint ventures and co-operation projects, compliance programs and internal investigations.
Prior to joining SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz, Maria worked at leading U.S. and UK law firms, including in Brussels.
