SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz expands its restructuring practice

As of 1 February 2026, SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz is strengthening its restructuring and turnaround capabilities with the addition of experienced partner Dr. Dietmar Schulz. The firm is further expanding its expertise in this key growth area of recent years.

Dr. Schulz (54) is one of the leading experts in restructuring, reorganization, and insolvency-related consulting. Before joining SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz, he led the restructuring practice of a major international law firm. He advises companies, managers, finance parties, and investors in crisis situations, particularly in complex out-of-court restructurings, on StaRUG matters, insolvency plans, and on the structuring of financing and investment models. In addition, Dr. Schulz has many years of experience in advising on NPL transactions and distressed M&A. His legal expertise at the interface of financing and operational turnaround strengthens the range of services offered by SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz.

Dr. Schulz will be based in Munich and Frankfurt and will work closely with the existing interdisciplinary restructuring and insolvency team. In recent years, SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz has advised a large number of companies, investors, and insolvency administrators in complex restructuring and other special situations, as well as in cross-border distressed transactions. The SZA client base in distressed situations ranges from large listed corporations to medium-sized industrial companies and international financial investors. Recent mandates include pre-insolvency advice to the air taxi manufacturer Volocopter and the successful completion of the investor process in the insolvency proceedings of the Vollert Group.
