SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz partner Marc-Philippe Hornung appointed preliminary insolvency administrator for Vollert Anlagenbau GmbH

Vollert Anlagenbau GmbH has filed for insolvency with the Heilbronn Local Court. Marc-Philippe Hornung was appointed preliminary insolvency administrator on 21 July 2025.

The business operations of Vollert Anlagenbau GmbH, based in Weinsberg, are to be continued in full with the approval of the preliminary insolvency administrator. In this role, Marc-Philippe Hornung will first analyze the company's financial and economic situation and then explore possible restructuring options and prospects for recovery together with the management. The company employs around 360 people, around 270 of whom are based at its headquarters in Weinsberg. The wages and salaries of the employees are secured for three months by insolvency payments from the employment agency.

Vollert Anlagenbau was founded in 1925 and is an internationally active plant engineering specialist with subsidiaries in Brazil, India, China, and the USA. The economic crisis was triggered by a significant decline in demand in the markets relevant to Vollert, particularly in the precast concrete industry. In addition, a loss-making major project in the steel sector had a considerable negative impact on the company's economic situation.

The insolvency and restructuring team at SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz has many years of experience in insolvency administration for large and medium-sized companies, particularly in the continuation of companies during insolvency and in restructuring through transfer or an insolvency plan.
