Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz advised Balcke-Dürr GmbH on the sale of Balcke-Dürr Rothemühle GmbH to British Howden Group with a team led by partner Dr Martin Kolbinger.

Balcke-Dürr Rothemühle is an integrated service, engineering and original equipment provider to the flue gas path segment of power and process plants. The business was established in 1936 and is a leading global provider of air preheaters, gas-gas heaters and related heat recovery equipment.

The business of Balcke-Dürr Rothemühle GmbH was part of the operations of Balcke-Dürr Group. Mutares SE & Co. KGaA acquired Balcke-Dürr Group from US-American SPX Corporation in 2016 and subsequently re-organised it with success. Balcke-Dürr had already sold the Polish activities of Balcke-Dürr Rothemühle in March 2020.

The closing of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.
